Geysers area in COBB California hit by 3.9 magnitude earthquake

The Geysers area in COBB of California was struck with an earthquake on Tuesday morning. The earthquake was recorded with an magnitude of 3.9 magnitude.  The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred in Geysers at 10:43 am.

The survey reported that the epicenter of earthquake was one mile north northwest of Geysers geothermal steam field.  The earthquake was reported at a depth of 2.2 miles. The geological survey also reported a number of earthquakes in Kelseyville, Lakeport and Middletown, areas in Sonoma County and San Francisco.

There were reports previously of an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 in the Geysers which were reported by  Lake County News on April 23, 2011
