Air India to appoint pilots to replace striking Air India Pilots

Minister of Civil Aviation Ajit Singh said that the striking pilots would soon be replaced by fresh pilots. The striking pilots would have to apply as fresh candidates and go through the selection just like all the other new candidates.

Air India is expected to put out call-for for pilots in both the international and domestic market.

Minister Ajit Singh said that this step was being necessitated in view of the appalling apathy shown by the striking pilots towards the Dharmadhikari report.

Earlier the sacked Air India pilots were given the chance to join back with reassurance given that no action would be taken against them.

But once the recruitment of new pilots begins, there will be no option left for them.
