4 tbsp unflavored Gelatin
1 cup granulated Sugar
¼ Tbsp Salt
1/1/4 Cup light corn syrup
2 tbsp Vanilla essence
1 ½ cup Icing Sugar
Refined oil for Greasing
Grease a 9-by-13-inch glass baking dish with refined oil. Apply Butter paper on sides and allowing a 2-inch overhang on the long sides. Also grease the butter paper using brush and refined oil.
Take a pan and put corn syrup, granulated sugar, salt, and 3/4 cup water. Bring the mixture to a boil over high flame, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cook, without stirring, Once the mixture is hot cook it for about 9 minutes.
On the other side, put 3/4 cup hot water into the bowl, sprinkle with gelatin. Let it soften for 5 minutes.
Now take the gelatin mixture and using a hand mixer, mix the ingredients well. With mixer on low speed, beat hot syrup into gelatin mixture. Gradually raise speed to high, beat until mixture is very stiff, for about 12 minutes. Add vanilla essence also to the mixture.
Pour into greased dish, and smooth with an offset spatula. Set aside, uncovered, until it becomes firm, about 3 hours.
