Regular consumption of junk food and soft drinks shows negative effect on health. People in these days are consuming soft drinks as an alternative for water. Consumption of junk food and soft drinks has increased remarkably over a decade. Human beings suffer a lot from health problems due to their negligence. Soft drinks like cola are high in sugar and calories which a human body does not need. Serious health problems are associated with regular consumption of soft drinks and junk food.

Effects on health:

Obesity:

Obesity is the main problem which is caused doe to excess consumption of soft drinks and junk food. The soda present in the cool drinks and the fats present in the junk food increases the problem of obesity. The sugar and calories which build up in the body due to the consumption of soft drinks and junk food do not generate any energy.

Addiction:

Regular consumption of soft drinks and having junk food will slowly turn towards addiction. This low nutrient food shows many side effects and causes health problems.

Bone strength:

Consumption of soft drinks and junk food has a deleterious effect on bone strength. It reduces the bone mineral density. Excess consumption of food like this increases the probability of bone fracture. It also create problems like tooth decay.

Heart diseases:

Junk food is the main cause of heart diseases. The carbonated soft drinks decrease the human body immunity power. Fat body makes heart suffer from many problems. The calories and sugar present in the soft drinks and junk food shows bad effect on the functioning of heart.

One should reduce the consumption of food which is injurious to health. Intake of homemade and healthy food decreases the probability of negative effects on health.
