Exercise keeps your body fit, so why not exercise our facial muscles also to keep our facial muscles firm and toned. These exercises help in relieving the muscles and increase blood circulation, thus toning up face to reduce the effects of increasing age. These exercises help in reducing the effects of wrinkles, sagging and slacking of facial skin.
Simple Face Massage
It could be done by stroking the face gently with hands. For firming the skin around forehead and eyes, pull your eyes with your index finger while simultaneously pulling your eyebrows in upward direction. Repeat this exercise 10-12 times in a day.
Massage for lips
For firming the lips try sucking your finger for 2-3 minutes and then take it out, repeat the exercise 9-10 times in a day. This increases blood circulation and thus is a good massage for lips.
Sit and relax in a chair and lean your head at the back so that you are facing the ceiling, now place the three center fingers on your cheeks and press them inside and try to smile as broadly as you can for 8-10 seconds. Bring your head to normal position and repeat this exercise again for 10-12 times in a day.
For double chin
Sit and relax in a chair and lean your head at the back so that you are facing the ceiling, now round your lips and stretch them out and come back to normal position in 15 seconds. Repeat this for 10-12 times. Stretching and relaxing the area around lips and chin helps in toning of muscles and get rid of double chin.
For relaxing tensed facial muscles and wrinkles
Open your mouth wide and try to open it as much as you can. Hold on for 5-10 seconds and relax. Repeat this for 6-8 times in a day. In another exercise you can inhale deeply and then exhale with lot of force keeping your mouth wide open and taking out your tongue. This exercise helps in increasing the blood circulation around the face and thus helps ease wrinkles.
