Silk Smitha’s brother V. Naga Vara Prasad has sent a legal notification to the production house of Ekta Kapoor i.e. Balaji Motion Pictures. V. Naga Vara Prasad said that he is not in favor of Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures for releasing a film based on the life his dead sister Silk Smitha. V. Naga Vara Prasad further said that they haven’t take permission from Silk Smitha’s relatives.

V. Naga Vara Prasad said that he is truly upset with the statement that The Dirty Picture is reportedly an autobiography of the southern starlet Silk Smitha who got fame because of her lascivious gestures and profuse curves.

Balaji Motion Pictures instantly sent out a press release a few days ago stating that The Dirty Picture is a romantic journey of a severely ambitious starlet. As per Balaji Motion Pictures, The Dirty Picture is not a biography as is being guessed. They also added the regular disclaimer that it is a work of fiction and any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is mere coincidental.

However sources say that Silk Smitha’s family is keen to know why the release date of The Dirty Picture is chosen 2nd December 2011, 2nd December being Silk Smitha’s birthday. The family is also tracing an earlier press release from Balaji Motion Pictures. The press release said that The Dirty Pictures will be released on 2nd December because it is Silk Smitha’s birthday.
