Mahesh Manjrekar, who waited for Salman Khan for an entire year to do a Hindi version of his own Marathi film has realized that he should hurry up and is likely to rope in Akshay Kumar for the film.
The Marathi film is Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho which is based on the pressure parents put on children to study well. The film features the story of a boy whose father doesn’t realize till end that his son is interested in cricket rather than in studies.
Salman Khan was at first to do the Hindi version but due to his tight schedule he couldn’t manage. In the meantime, Prakash Raj made a Telugu version of the film. A shocking incident took place in Chennai where a schoolboy stabbed his teacher which made Mahesh Manjrekar realize that he should hurry up.
Mahesh Manjrekar is currently working with Akshay Kumar in Akshay’s own film Oh My God and is fine tuned with the actor. So also as Akshay Kumar is a father of a growing boy is deeply touched with the story of the film.
Mahesh Manjrekar said that he wants Akshay Kumar to take the message to maximum parents of not burdening their children with extra pressure of books and education.
